This is my personal web site, where I consolidate all of my various internet outlets into a single place, post writings, &c.

To pay the bills, I'm a Power BI Developer for Optum Workers' Comp (OWCA), which Optum acquired back in 2014, not long after PMSI and Progressive Medical were merged to form Helios. The new branding had barely made it up on the building when we were bought out. Until recently I was the reporting analyst for OWCA's Settlement Solutions business, which was acquired by ExamWorks Compliance Solutions in June 2024, and I moved into more SSRS and Power BI-centric development as we migrate awayfrom MicroStrategy.

Outside of the 9-to-5 (or, 7-to-3 working from home, in my case), I stay busy with 3D printing (I own a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, a Creality Ender-3 V3 SE, and an AnyCubic Kobra Max; and I haven't touched the latter two since buying the Bambu), personal informatics, and making the less-than-half-hour drive to Walt Disney World whenever the weather allows.

What I consider to be most important is that I am, first and foremost, a follower of Jesus Christ; I'm a partner with Celebration Community Church in nearby Celebration, Florida.

I started working professionally in the early '90s in southern California. I started out as a secretary and administrator until one of the managers I supported saw some potential in getting me to start working with data and reporting, and I haven't looked back since. I moved from California to Florida in 2000.
